The company 

IT Development in SOS International, which is responsible for IT development in the Group, extends the skills of Middleware in their newly-started Competence team to maintain focus on the company’s 2020 strategy.  

 

IT Development makes a difference every day for SOS International users, SOS International users, customers and customers’ customers. IT Development consists of three individual teams, each composed of developers, SCRUM Masters and testers. The Competence team primarily supports the three teams in the use of middleware components on the platform. 

 

You will work closely with IT Operations and the rest of the business in an open and innovative environment where competence, adaptability and agility are highlights.  

 

SOS International gives you the purpose of promoting the adoption of automation techniques and DevOps processes to improve the development life cycle and has the responsibility to support the development/operation teams in terms of tooling and CI/CD pipeline on our OpenShift platform. The position 

SOS International completed the SOS Innovation platform in collaboration with Red Hat in spring 2018. An OpenShift platform with a wide array of Middleware components. 

 

The work in the Competence team, in collaboration with IT Operations, is to assist developers and project managers with standards of CI/CD for applications / projects and verification of the standards applied. You create the standards and supports developers in using them.  

 

You understand the importance of working structured based on Group IT guidelines and can therefore help to continuously match and optimize the development process in the individual departments and teams. 

 

You have a minimum of 5 year experience with Open Source and Web technologies, and an educational level as Bachelor or Master. 

 

Specifically, you have experience with: 

  • Experience in modern/cross platform scripting languages (Python, Shell/Bash or similar) 
  • Development lifecycle tools (GIT, Docker, Jenkins, Artifactory, TFS, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Ansible) 
  • Project management tools (Jira, Confluence) 
  • Experience in Open source technologies (OpenShift including a large amount of middleware components) 
  • Experience in microservices, web technologies, web services, REST, SOAP, XML and YML 

An attractive salary package is offered, which corresponds to the requirements of the job. 

 

Your workplace becomes SOS International’s office at Frederiksberg in Copenhagen. Some travel days must be expected, primarily to SOS offices in the Nordic countries.
